They are the reverse operations in most cases.

Changing a liquid into a gas (as by heating it) is evaporation. (or vaporization)

Changing a gas into a liquid (as by cooling it) is condensation.

Examples:

Water evaporates from a swimming pool in the sun. Holding a glass of ice in the moist air will cause some water to condense back out of the air onto the outside of the glass.

____

Evaporation is an endothermic process that is the conversion of a liquid to the vapor state by the addition of latent heat. Condensation is a type of chemical reaction in which water or another simple substance is released by the combination of two or more molecules. The term is also used to describe the process by which a gas or vapor changes to a liquid. In weather, evaporation occurs when water on the earth changes to water vapor and enters the atmosphere. The opposite of evaporation, condensation transforms water vapor in the atmosphere into a liquid, often resulting in precipitation, most commonly in the form of rain or snow.

____

Evaporation is the process of a liquid turning into a gas. Condensation is the opposite: a gas turning into a liquid. Evaporation is when a liquid (like water) turns into gas... so some of the water from a lake becomes part of the air (a cloud), for instance.

Condensation is when a gas turns into a liquid. So, like when that cloud turns back into rain, and comes back down to the lake.

evaporation is when a liquid turns to a gas and blows away. To condense is to make thicker or make smaller. Condense milk is very thick and doesn"tr pour easy. A condensed book is made shorter by only giving facts or a short version of the story.

Evaporation

Condensation

Evaporation is the process in which there is a change of state from liquid or solid to gaseous

Condensation it is the process in which there is a change of state from gaseous to liquid or solid droplets in the atmosphere

Evaporation takes place from all surfaces, all the time at all places

Condensation takes place on hygroscopic nuclei-pollen grains, salt, carbon particles in smoke, etc

Condensation is typically a cool surface pulling liquid out of gas or vapor.

Evaporation is the opposite, a liquid is typically heated and turns to a gas.

What is the difference between precipitation and condensation.?

The difference between condensation and precipitation is that condensation is the transformation of state from a gas to a liqiud and precipitation is next stage after condensation where waterdroplets become larger and larger so as they fall under gravity in form of rain from the cloud.
