What is the difference between credit card primary gateway and credit card secondary gateway? |
A secondary gateway is just that, a backup to your primary credit card gateway. A lot of the larger online stores have 2 in case of outages on the primary. Being unable to accept credit cards for even a short period of time for large can lead to thousands of dollars lost to a company.
