∙ 12y agoDirect TV and Dish Network are both top notched providers. They both offer almost the exact same deals, although there are a few things such as price, amount of channels, and languages that slightly vary.

∙ 12y agoBoth Dish Network and Directv are satellite providers that offer a variety of programming that you may not be able to get from cable tv--including a vast amount of HD and international programming. The are a few differences between Dish TV and Direct TV; one is that they offer different programming packages, different technology, and special offers for new customers (and some qualifying returning customers). The best thing to do is to compare both Dish Network, Directv and cable TV to see what your monthly cost will be after your promotional period ends. Most companies offer pretty good deals for new customers for a period of time, then after this promotional period the price will go to it's everyday price. Dish Network currently has a everyday price guarantee until January 2013.

The price of these individual packages, such as subscription to music channels, "low-price" packages and "popular" packages, will be proportional to the amount of content you receive.

While Dish Network has a slightly less expensive basic package, DirecTV is generally considered more reliable, higher quality and offers a more technologically advanced range of equipment.

∙ 10y agoThe importance of the differences between Direct TV and Dish Network depend on individual requirement. If you just require a simple service with no added extras then the only important issue would be the cheapest price for the channels that you want. If you have more than one television then the Direct TV service offers a single digital video recorder that works in conjunction with a receiver box per television, enabling independent access to all channels and recorded material from each television. The Dish Network offer a similar service, using a Hopper for the main television and a Joey for the others, this enables programs to be viewed throughout the property but the number of separate programs that can be viewed is limited to three.
