A dissertation is an extended piece of writing based on extended reading and some independent research at Undergraduate or Masters level.

It is a research finding presented as part of conclusion of a programme of learning.

Whereas, a report is a specific form of writing that is organised around concisely identifying and examining issues, events, or findings that have happened in a physical sense, such as events that have occurred within an organisation, or findings from a research investigation.

These events can also pertain to events or issues that have been presented within a body of literature. The key to report writing is informing the reader simply and objectively about all relevant issues. There are three features that, together, characterise report writing at a very basic level: a pre-defined structure, independent sections, and reaching unbiased conclusions.

A dissertation is a formal academic document that presents original research as part of a doctoral program, while a report is a document that conveys information, analysis, or findings on a specific topic, often for a professional or non-academic audience. Dissertations require more extensive research and analysis, and are typically longer and more detailed than reports.

Where can you download free dissertation report?

Do you mean you want to download a dissertation? A dissertation is not a report. It is a research study to complete a PhD and off hand I don't think you can download one because it has a copyright on it. College and university libraries usually have a section of completed dissertations and you can purchase a dissertation. The writer does get a small ( very small)royalty on the sold dissertation. Four years ago I completed mine and have yet had anyone buy it. I expect it is on a dusty shelf in my college library, but I know that I wouldn't want anyone downloading my 4 years of work and using it for their own.

What is the difference between an unbound report and a left bound report?

An unbound report does not have any pre-defined margins, headers, or footers, allowing for more flexibility in layout and design. On the other hand, a left-bound report typically has a fixed left margin, which helps in maintaining a consistent format throughout the report. It can be easier to align content in a left-bound report compared to an unbound report.
