What is the difference between dual channel ddr2 sdram at 667mhz and dual channel ddr2 sdram at 800mhz?

Well you are buying a dell so im assuming that means you wont be overclocking.

Then 800MHz is pointless. On intel based systems there is no noticable performance difference between 667 and 800. And it makes a negligible difference to onboard video systems.

Thats coming from someone who runs 1066MHz RAM so id say ive had enough testing to tell the difference.
