egotism is to think/talk about oneself when its unwarranted and to overexagerate ones self, or to see themseleves as the greatest.

Psychological egoism is the why of what people do. The thought is that we do nothing that we do not get some form of pleasure from. Ethical egoism is the moral debate of should we do what we want. Example:

Ted eats a greasy cheeseburger. Ted ate the burger because he wanted to. It fulfilled a desire in him. This is Psychological egoism.

Ted eats a greasy cheeseburger. Ted ate the burger because it served his own self interest. Whether he should have had the burger (morally speaking) doesn't matter. This is Ethical egoism.
