Facts can be observed and measured.

Facts are repeatable much to the annoyance of certain eye-witnesses. If it can't be repeated it is not a fact.

Sociological and thermodynamic facts, which are derived from statistical analysis, are not as true as fact derived from direct measurements.

Historical fact, which are not repeatable in the strictest sense of the definition, are the least true of all.
