LCD = Liquid crystal display
LCD TV technology is based on liquid crystals which align themselves when activated by electric current. This alignment process, in conjunction with color filters and a fluorescent light sitting at the back of the screen, produce the desired color and intensity to be displayed.
Plasma TV technology is based on Plasma gas made up of xenon and neon contained in tiny chambers or pixels on the screen. Each pixel is coated with phosphor and made up of three fluorescent lights - red, green and blue. When lighted, they make the phosphor coating to glow to the desired color and intensity on the screen.
LED TV's make use of similar technology as LCD's with a single difference- their source of backlight illumination is not florescent- it is LED. Rather, they are considered to be next in line to their predecessors LCD's. Not only is their picture quality dynamic in nature, they consume much less amount of power as compared to the LCD's. With a broad viewing angle, they can even be placed on the walls- the viewing experience would still remain excellent. Though, they are much more reliable- they are hugely expensive.
plasma led lcd difference
No. Plasma tvs look better in a dark dark room but in a room with a lot if light the lights reflect in the plasma. Led tvs last longer in my opinion are better For most rooms
In general an LED consumes less energy than a Plasma.
Yes Plasma TV are more expensive then LED as you will get more features with Plasma TV
Plasma TV's often have a wider viewing angle then LED tv's. LED's are often brighter and more vibrant. I would suggest a plasma for a wider and larger room. LED's for smaller rooms.
Plasma is a state of matter in the same way that solids, liquids and gases are also states of matter. Plasma is found in fluorescent light bulbs and is used to generate images in a plasma television. So, a television has the same kind of plasma as a light bulb but applied in different ways.
plasma get hotter then LCD or led and plasma has some gasses in it
Plasma screen TVs differ from LCD or LED TVs. Plasma TVs use electrically charged ionized gas to display the picture. The advantages of a plasma TV are that they provide a clearer and better picture than LCD or LED TVs.
Bush 50 inch plasma
No Led are much clearer. The best way to go would be to get a plasma Led combo. With HD would be ideal. Go to best buy and ask them what there best model is.
LCD are little lights for each and every pixel, while plasma has two pieces of glass with plasma between the two.
No, they have the same name, but they're not at all similar.
plasma is found in stars. the only naturally occurring plasma on Earth is lightning. it is not to be confused with the plasma in your blood however, as these are not the same thing. plasma screen TVs use plasma the same way as fluorescent lights, but this is not naturally occurring plasma.
LED TV's emit much better quality picture
