Anaphase of Meiosis 1 separates the homologous chromosome pairs, but during Anaphase of Meiosis 2, the sister chromatids are separated instead.
Also, Meiosis 1 starts with one diploid cell and ends with 2 haploid cells, whereas Meiosis 2 starts with the 2 haploid cells and ends with 4 haploid cells (gametes).
