Aluminum cans are placed in a recycling container. They are separated from other material by machines using a pizeo electrical effect. Then they are added to aluminum ore in a smelter. They become new aluminum to be made into a new product. Likewise recycled iron is attracted by an electromagnet. It is placed in a blast furnice with iron ore. It becomes iron to be used to make new products. A broken piece of equipment can be repaired. A broken handle can be welded and the piece of equipment reused.
Sometimes a junkyard will take some parts off a wrecked car. The pieces in good condition will be reused on other cars. If the left side of the car is smashed up, the wheels on the right side may be in good condition. The junk yard may remove those wheels. When another car hits a pothole and breaks a wheel, the owner may buy a replacement wheel from a junkyard. That wheel is reused. The body of the car is no good. It will be placed in the blast furnice to be recycled.

Reuse means you reuse the same bottle for instance over and over, where recycling means reprocessing of materials into new products.

Recycling means that the paper, glass, aluminum, steel, or plastic that you separate for recycling is re-processed, cleaned and purified and then comes back in its original form as new paper, glass, aluminum, steel or plastic.

Reusing is when you use something over and over again until it cannot be used any more. For example I might use a plastic spork over and over again instead of throwing it away. Or I might take a plastic margarine container and use it for growing tomato seedlings. Or I might take my old newspapers and use them as a mulch or compost for the garden.

reusing is using something for the same purpose as it was originally for. Recycling is making something useful for something other than its original purpose.
