social unrest can be due to trivial factors in rich countries too like religious factors and cultural factors. so while Middle East is rich due to monarchy and terrorism, there exists social unrest. similarly rampant consumerism in usa gives rise to social unrest.
financial crisis is related with economy decline and meltdown.
people may be poor but still happy and peaceful, moneydoesnot equal peace
