It depends on the environments. If the two materials will be in contact with water or high humidity then you can have some corrosion on the galvanized steel.
Stainless steel and galvanized steel can corrode. However, galvanized steel will corrode at a higher rate. Stainless steel is more corrosion resistant than galvanized steel, but in some circumstances it will also corrode.

Galvanized steel is steel with an electroplated coating of aluminium/zinc or other alloy to retard oxidation/rust. it's called galvanizing because the electroplating process is typically a "galvanic cell" where the cathode (+) is the item to be coated and the anode (-) and electrolyte (liquid conductor used to transfer ions and electrons between the anode and cathode) this is beneficial because typically the metal coating is one that is more resilient to corrosion/oxidation/rust.

Different metals are put together in contact with each other, and the order of the reaction occurs is determined by the electrode potential of the metal. Generally, the first thing that should happen is that the zinc should oxidize into zinc ions first and lose two electrons, thus protecting the other metals from rapid corrosion. If you want to buy galvanized steel. You can go to Shanghai Changzheng, which is the choice of most people for its superior quality steel sheets.

Galvanized steel is steel that has been hot dipped in a pool of molten zinc. The zinc adheres to the steel, cools and hardens to form a rust inhibitive finish to plain steel.

yes, stainless steel is more afective because of the molucules formed from the heat and the carbone hydrance in the iron

Compare stainless steel on aluminum vs. galvanized steel on aluminum?

galvanised steel is a lot more safer....... if u go by the book.... it is upto 10 times stronger than stainless steel in aluminum

Can i put galvanized steel on a kitchen floor?

Galvanized steel has coatings that make it corrosion proof, and with a zink coating, it won't rust. Galvanized steel is seldom used for flooring as it would seem to conduct electrical current, not something really desireable when working with electrified kitchen appliances. Galvanized steel is normally used for water pipes, girders in buildings, etc. Stainless Steel is more common in kitches, especially commercial restaurants. As a flooring material, it would be impractible.

Who is more costly mild steel or stainless steel?

stainless steel

What weighs more steel or stainless steel?

Steel and stainless steel tend to weigh around the same, however, stainless steel can sometimes be a bit lighter.

What is the ingredient that makes steel into stainless steel?

A steel is considered to be stainless if it contains 13% or more chromium.

What is the difference between stainless steel and regular steel?

steel isn't as refined but stainless is well stainless and shiny oohlala hot bod Stainless steel is an alloy (mixture) that has chromium mixed in. The chrome makes ordinary steel harder, more brittle, and more resistant to rust and stains, hense, stainless steel.

What is the difference between steel and stainless steel?

While stainless steel is an alloy of steel, the primary difference between stainless steel and other steels is that the stainless steels have a high percentage (about 10% or even more) of the element chromium in them.

Is aluminum more non corrosive than stainless steel?

No, stainless steel never corrodes.

What material is better - stainless steel or carbon steel?

It depends on the applications. Stainless Steel is more corrosion resistant and more expensive. Carbon Steel is cheaper and less corrosion resistant.

How can you melt a galvanized nail?

well galvanized metal is nothing more than zinc coated steel. Zinc melts at 787.1 F and steel melts at roughly 1200 F depending on the quality of the steel. So yes you can melt a galvanized nail.

What is a stainless steel welding rod?

Easy. A rod or electrode used in welding stainless steel. Or to "clad" a surface with stainless steel. (Nothing more than laying down a layer or layers of stainless.) MIG wire also comes in stainless steel. Their are different types of stainless steel and rods/wire/electrodes to use on them.

How are steel and stainless steel alike?

The primary characteristics that steel and stainless steel share are that both are steels, and are made of iron with a bit of carbon in them. While stainless steel has about 10% or more of chromium in it, the "steel" part is still essentially the same.
