Here are 2 examples of both unbalanced forces and balanced forces:

Unbalanced Forces:

  • A woman (150 lbs.) and a child (50 lbs.) are pulling a rope. The child is easily dragged toward the woman's side. This is an unbalanced force.
  • On a scale, with two sides, a Bowling ball is put on and then a lamp is put on the scale. The Bowling ball is 10 lbs. The lamp is 5 lbs. The scale tips, and the lamp raises much higher than the bowling ball because the bowling ball has too much mass.

Balanced Forces:

  • A teenager, Miranda (110 lbs.) and another teenager, Jesse (110 lbs.) are pulling a rope. Miranda is 5 ft. 7 in. Jesse is 5 ft. 9 in. They are about the same height, and exactly the same weight. It is very uncommon to have teenagers of about the same age, same height, and same weight so that is why we are making Jesse a little older and taller but still the same weight. Miranda and Jesse are the same weight, and about the same mass, so the rope stays level and neither one of the two are pulling each other over to their side.
  • On a scale, with two sides, pair of glasses (0.8 oz.) is put on. Then, on the other side, 4 wet leaves (0.8 oz.) are put on. The scale stays level because the two objects weigh the same.

An unbalanced force means that the vector sum of all the forces on an object is not equal to zero. In this case, there will be an acceleration. For example, if the object is at rest, the object will start moving.

Balanced forces are forces that balance. While unbalanced forces are forces that do not balance. An example could be: Balanced forces: 1gram of sugar and 1 gram of salt They both weigh the same so the forces are balanced

An example could be: Unbalanced forces: 1 ton of iron & a ball.

We all know that the 1ton of iron weighs more than the ball so the forces are unbalanced

Balanced forces are forces on a object that cause the net force to be zero. Unbalanced forces do not cause a change in motion or acceleration.

When two forces acting on a body are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction is called balanced force.

When two forces acting on body are not equal in magnitude or not in opposite direction is called unbalanced force.

When a group of two or more forces adds up to zero, you have

a group of balanced forces.

When a group of two or more forces doesn't add up to zero, you have

a group of unbalanced forces.

You see balanced forces are when it is on a smooth surface and all force acting on it are equal! Unbalanced forces on a rough surfacae and most of the forces acting on it are not equal

What if the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces in terms of motion?

Unbalanced forces is when the forces are 0N or more. Balanced forces are 0.

Explain the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces?

The vector sum of all of the individual forces in a balanced group of forces is zero. The vector sum of all of the individual forces in an unbalanced group of forces isn't.

Describe the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces?

Balanced forces have the same effect as not moving at all. The motion of the object does not change at allOnly unbalanced forces can change the motion of an object. It does not matter if the object was at rest or was already moving.

What is the diffence between balanced and unbalanced force?

There is no such thing as a balanced force or an unbalanced force. A groupof two or more forces may be balanced or unbalanced. The group of forces isbalanced if the vector sum of all the forces in the group is zero.

Pictures of balanced and unbalanced forces?

What is the difference between a force and an unbalanced force?

Balanced force means that the sum (vector sum) of all forces on an object is zero. Unbalanced means it's not.

What are the similarities between balanced and unbalanced forces?

An object with balanced forces acting on it is still. An object with unbalanced forces acting on them moves at an non constant velocity. It is possible for an object to have balanced forces acting on it and yet move in a vacuum.

What are similarities between balanced forces and action reaction forces?

There is no such thing as a balanced force or an unbalanced force. A groupof two or more forces may be balanced or unbalanced. The group of forces isbalanced if the vector sum of all the forces in the group is zero.

Similarity between balanced and unbalanced forces?

If the vector sum of forces on an object is zero, the forces are said to be balanced. Otherwise they are said to be unbalanced. Unbalanced forces will cause an acceleration, according to Newton's Second Law (a = F/m, where F is the net force, that is, the vector sum of all forces acting on the object).

Are the forces on a penny balanced or unbalanced and why?

If the penny isn't accelerating in some way, the forces are balanced. If it is, then they're unbalanced.
