The terms grand niece and great niece mean the same thing, the granddaughter of your brother or sister. Some regions, and some people, prefer one term and some prefer the other, but both are correct and understandable terms.

∙ 14y agoThere is no difference between a great uncle or aunt and a grand uncle or aunt.
It is common to see "great grandfather" and "great granduncle". It sounds somewhat strange to hear "great great father" but it isn't so strange to hear "great great uncle"
