I have rheumatoid arthritis and have tried both. The yellow is stronger (to me) than the white. Yellow 10-325 I need only 2 daily to 4 daily for the white. My pharmacy alternates between the 2. I am not going to refill the whites unless I can't find the yellows. This will probably require some legwork but it'll be worth it.
The difference is the amount of acetaminophen (Tylenol) in each pill. The yellow ones are known as Norcos, I am ALMOST positive that they ALWAYS have 325 mgs of acetaminophen in them. The white ones can have various different amounts of acetaminophen in them, as there are several different variations of the white Vicodin/Hydrocodone pills.
Hydrocodone is a drug that is derived from opiates. It is available only in combination with acetaminophen or ibuprofen, both non-opiate derived drugs. It requires a prescription from a licensed doctor. In most combinations, the strength of hydrocodene is 5, 7.5 or 10 mg. The greater the milligrams, the greater the amount of the drug.
Yes, the hydrocodone 10-325 pills are stronger than the white 5-500 pills. The primary active ingredient is hydrocodone, and the dose of this compound is given by the first number. The second number is the dose of the secondary ingredient, acetaminophen (APAP). APAP is the same active ingredient as in Tylenol, and it is primarily added to discourage abuse of opioid painkillers. APAP does not have any narcotic properties. Additionally, APAP is very toxic to the liver in overdose; the maximum safe dose per day is 4000mg. Thus, the 10-325 pills have twice the primary ingredient, and have less dangerous APAP.
Yes
Yellow Watson 853 is 10 mg of hydrocodone so it would be stronger than the Watson 3203 which is 7.5 mg. the yellows in my opinion are the best. The 3203 make me wanna sleep
