The question is very vague, but I am going to try and answer it as best I can. Routers, Switches and Hubs transport/transfer speeds at several speeds. 10mb, 100mb and now 1,000mb(1,000 megabyte = 1 gigabyte and mb = megabyte per second) . If your router supports gigabyte transfer speed and your computer supports gigabyte transfer speed, than you will definitely be able to send data faster than the 100mb speed. BUT if your router supports the gigabyte transfer speed but your computer only supports up to 100mb transfer speed, than you will only be able to transfer data up to 100mb.
