What is the difference in southern baptist and missionary baptist?

I'm actually trying to figure this out right now so I'm not sure how well I can explain my interpretation yet. I just realized the Southern Baptist church I attend was Missionary Baptist until at least 1955 so that is why I'm interested.

One reply I read somewhere was so extensive I couldn't figure out what in the world he was saying but here is one that breaks it down better.

Although he says the main difference between Southern and other Baptists is in how they do missions it's also true if you are Free-Will-Baptist or some other type of Baptist you have to be baptized again to enter their church. I've never felt at ease for doing that when my husband and I joined so it's another answer I'm looking for.
