What is the different between Linux and windows operating systems?

The major difference is their file structures. Linux is based on the UNIX file system, whereas Windows uses the NTFS (NT file system). That is the reason why windows-specific programs do not run on Linux and vice-versa. However, this can be solved by using wine (Software) or cedaga (For transgaming). This is NOT 100% sure because I hear say it may not work on some cases.
