21 miles. This is the best way to get there:

1. From the airport, EXIT and follow signs to U.S. 59. You will be going on Will Clayton Pkwy.
2. Stay to the right on Will Clayton Pkwy and then turn right onto U.S. 59 which is designated as the DOWNTOWN FREEWAY. U.S. 59 is about 3 miles past the airport.
3. Take U.S. 59 SOUTH to the EXIT for JACKSON ST to DOWNTOWN DESTINATIONS.
4. Exit at Jackson St and take Jackson St to Congress St. Make a right. This is where you can't go any further.
5. Take Congress St to the second light that you approach which is La Branch St. Turn right onto La Branch St.
6. Take La Branch St 3 blocks down to Texas St. Turn right onto Texas St.
7. Take Texas St to Avenida De Las Americas (second light). Turn right.
8. Take Avenida De Las Americas to the George R. Brown Convention Center. It will be on your left a few lights past Texas St.
