No matter what anyone tells you it's "eat less calories and exercise at least 4-5 times a week". It's better to break up the "eat less calories" with a normal calorie day every second day as this tricks your body into believing it will be fed at the rate of 2000 calories per day. Then when you go with 1200 the next day, you can lose some weight. In order to lose a lot of weight, you have to keep at this for several months. Riding a bicycle is less of a problem for your muscles than running, and you will still lose weight. (In fact, you'll take some it off your thighs.)

Just take it day by day! It really helped me. A lot of other weight loss programs tell you to weight once a week but I would weigh once a day. To keep you motivated. It really helped me! And consume under 2,000 calories a day! And lots of exercise!
