What is the essential element of faith which involves spreading the good news of salvation and helping others?

I do not believe one can reduce the offer of salvation to a script, not any more than one can reduce God to a formula. Yes, there are essential elements in the gospel message, but God's ways are as much higher than our ways as heaven is above earth. To reduce such a wonderful thing as the offer of salvation to a script is, in my opinion, to limit how God may wish to work in one's life as they are drawn by the Holy Spirit.


The most essential element of faith in the gospel message is the putting away of sin through the blood of Christ. Close in importance is the message that Jesus Christ is Lord (meaning God). Above all else, it is not a script one is to believe in but rather a person one is to believe in. Jesus Christ. These elements are what's missing from every false gospel or cult message. There may be more missing, but without this a gospel message fails to be the power of God unto salvation, and it leaves the soul damned for eternity. God knows those who are His and He will call each one to salvation in His own time. Our job is to share the right information when the time is right. As inclusive as this script may be, it may not be what a given individual needs at a given time. Let the Spirit be the guide, not a script.
