What is the exact meaning of agnostic in the IT technology terms?

Answer

Well if Agnostic means that someone doesnt believe in God or a higher deity. Would it mean that the servers and terminals and other nodes just exist. They just formed out of an evolutionary\adaptive process. The relationship and the timing and cordination they have with eachother just happened. Does that help any?

Further to that, I don't think there is an exact meaning, however its usually taken to mean that the speaker doesn't have a strong opinion about something. For example, the question "Is Windows Vista better than MAC OS" generates strong feelings, but an Adobe salesman might say "I'm agnostic about that as long as they buy Photoshop!"
