Keep reps to about 8-10 for about 2-3 sets. Don't use overly light weights (moderately heavy is preferable).
Cardio: I usually do about 30-45 minutes on a daily basis. This is either jumprope, heavy bag, elliptical, treadmill, etc.
Diet: Very important. Take in less fat and eat slower-digesting foods (high fiber). Oatmeal, almonds, whole wheat, sweet potatoes are some examples. It'll satisfy your hunger so you eat less junk food.
