I have a 1986 S10 with a 2.8l v-6. Its firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. Passenger side cylinder bank from front to back is 1-3-5, driver side cylinder bank from front to back is 2-4-6. Distributor post 1 is directly in line between the distributor coil post and cylinder 1 spark plug (driver side front), or approximately 7 o'clock on the distributor cap when viewing the engine compartment from the front of the vehicle. I do not believe there is any s10 2.8 with a firing order other than 1-2-3-4-5-6. This info is for 82-93 S10.
