18436572-#1 is the front plug on the drivers side--bring the #1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke & put #1 plug wire on that position on the distributor cap & continue with the firing order. 18436572 usually the no 1 post on the distributer points towards the no#1 cylinder the cylinders are numbered like this front to back on the drivers side 1 3 5 7 and fron to back on the passenger side 2 4 6 8 that is if you are standing in font of the vehichle facing it do this in a clock wise direction around the distributor.
Distributor rotates clockwise.
