Goblet cells secrete a protective lubricating mucous to help trap dust and bacteria so it can be transported by your mucosal linings via villi organelles in your sinuses outside your body.
Your goblet cells make mucus; they make about one quart of mucus per day.
Goblet cells produce mucus.
Goblet cells are part of the epithelium lining of lungs and intestines of mammals. They secrete mucus that helps carry away body wastes. Goblet cells are also part of the epidermis of fish, giving fish scales a slippery coating of mucus.
It produces mucus in a glandular epithelium, such as in the lining of the respiratory or the intestinal tract.
A gland goblet cell produces a slimy material called mucus. The mucus moves out of the cells and onto the inner lining of the gullet (oesophagus). Here the mucus acts like a lubricant, cutting down friction between food and the lining of the gullet. :)

the function of goblet cells is to make mucous for trapping dust particles which enters in our windpipe.
apart from secreting mucin , goblet cells are assigned with the function of water reabsorption.
Function: To secrete mucus to coat and protect the epithelia.Membrane: Mucous Membrane
Mucus secreted by goblet cells trap the foreign particles. Cilia push the particles out wards. This protects your lungs from damage by the foreign particles.
Goblet cells
The goblet cells have this function.
The cells that makes mucus are called goblet cells. These are glandular simple columnar epithelial cells that secrete gel forming mucins, which are the major component of mucus.
The function of the goblet cells are to secrete mucus which will trap any dust particles and bacteria that may have been inhaled. The cilia work together with the goblet cells by beating, pushing the mucus liquid up, out of the trachea with the dust particles ad bacteria that need to be removed from the body. This beating action by the cilia is known as the 'sweeping action'.
The goblet cells are found and scattered among the other cells in the epithelium.
Goblet cells are not dangerous; they are a normal part of human anatomy.
which are unicellular glands
A ciliated epithelial cell is modified in various ways to be able to perform its function. It is shaped like a wine goblet and that is why they are commonly referred to as goblet cells.
Goblet cells secrete mucus, a viscous fluid composed primarily of highly glycosylated proteins called mucins suspended in a solution of electrolytes.Goblet cells.
