Actually scientists aren't yet sure what the exactfunction of the centrioles are. But centrioles are onlyfound in animal cells. Fungi and plant cells do not contain centrioles. Centrioles play a part in cell division though. Scientists have many ideas for what function the centriole preforms but no scientists are completely sure. Although, the main function of the centrioles is to help separate the chromosomes.
Functions of centrioles:
Centrioles play an important role in cell division. They are a pair of structures that are composed of microtubules. They generate the cell's cytoskeleton and help form the mitotic spindles.
well im taking the test but mine is a pretest so im just clicking random things.
Centrioles are organelles present in animal Cells. Plant Cells lack centrioles but possess an analogous region called the microtubule organizing region, having the same function as centrioles. Centrioles organize the mitotic apparatus which consists of aster and spindle fibers which help and assist in the division of the Chromosomes. you tell me!
Formation of myototic spindle during cell division It involve in cell division. It is only in animals.
It forms spindle fibers. The centrioles aid in cell division. During cell division, the centrioles are at each end of the cell pulling the chromosomes apart so that each resulting daughter cell gets the same DNA as the parent cell.
two rod-shaped bodies near the nucleus; the basic of cilia.

Centrioles are tube-like structures that help when it comes time for the cell to divide. They are usually found close to the nucleus and are made up of nine tube-like structures with three tubules each.
I'm pretty sure they move the chromosomes to different places in the nucleus
Centriole
A centriole is kinda like the president, or maybe the U.S. government. They both allow America to function properly, and centrioles allow the cell to function properly. I just came up with that. Pretty good, huh? :D By the way, do you go to Stanley? Mrs. Chandler/Winter?
The centriole is located near the nuclear membrane to form spindle fibres during cell division in animal cells.

the pizza guy is the structure if the centriole hehe

u draw a centriole by drawing a bunch of straws together
A centriole splits so that both cells will receive copies of the same chromosome
The founder of the centriole was Thomas H. Granger in 1883 and was worked out independently by George Sanford in 1888.
