i am a student in gombe state university in Nigeria and need answer to the question: what benefits are provided by the earth's atmosphere? it gives us atmosperic pressure, the ozone layer sheilds us from uv rays, the lonosphere layer allows us to bounce radiowaves off it thus giving us radio,it prevents water from vaporising and beeing lost by allowing clouds to form it prevents most metors from lending (it burns them up) also it helps the regulation of the earths teperature
to trap heat from the sun
to shield the planet from harmful radiation
and to disintigrate space debris before it reaches the surface
Sunlight warms the atmosphere as it comes in towards the earth.
Type your answer here... Earth's temperature is raised and moderated by trapping in heat.
The exosphere is the layer of the atmosphere first struck by sunlight
rainbow form by the sunlight after the rain
It heats it up by about 30 degrees C.
Too much heat depletes the ozone layer making earth more warmer.

The greenhouse effect is where all the c02 in the atmosphere allows the sunlight in, but instead of the regular process where the sunlight goes away from Earth, the c02 traps the sunlight in, cooking Earth and increasing the temperature, leading to global warming.
Sunlight interacts with the methane on Titan and induces chemical reactions that produce a variety of other carbon-hydrogen compounds, or hydrocarbons.
The exosphere is the layer of the atmosphere first struck by sunlight
Sunlight can pass through atmosphere. But not the part containing UV rays.
After the sunlight heats the ground, the ground delivers the heat to the dust and it goes straight up to the atmosphere. But the hole air doesn't goes to the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect takes some of the heat and the other heat goes up to the galaxy.
The lower atmosphere is heated by the ground, which is heated by sunlight.
Natural greenhouse effect is good because it keeps the Earth warm and habitable using natural greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Although when there is a "build-up" of these gases, the sun's energy (from sunlight) is trapped between the atmosphere and Earth's surface allowing energy to enter but making it extremely difficult to get out. Thus resulting in a warmer than normal Earth.
A rainbow forms when sunlight shines on water in the atmosphere.

It actually has very little effect on the atmosphere, as it is a very small event compared to the scale of the atmosphere. The parent storm has more effect.
At dawn and dusk, the sun is close to the horizon. This means that it passes through more atmosphere. As a result, the sunlight is scattered to the red end of the visible spectrum, and the dust that naturally occurs in the atmosphere closer to the surface intensifies the effect.
