The abdominal aorta provides oxygenated blood and nutrients to the lower half of the body
The abdominal aorta is the final section of the largest artery in the body. It supplies oxygenated blood to the abdominal organs, pelvic organs, and the legs.
The dorsal aorta is simply the part of the aorta (which is quite long) going down the body, meaning it has the same function of the aorta of the heart, which is transporting oxygenated red blood cells to the rest of the body. The dorsal aorta is the part of the aorta that does down the body. It transports oxygen rich red blood cells to the rest of the body.
The function of the Descending Aorta is to carry blood mostly to either your head or your legs.

Descending aorta is the continuation of ascending aorta. It carries oxygenated blood from heart to the organs and muscles of chest, abdomen, pelvis and lower limbs.
the dorsal aorta is the chief artery that arises from the heart to distribute blood to the body.
the main trunk of the arterial system, conveying blood from the left ventral of the heart to all of the body.
The Aorta.
Deoxygenated blood (from the body) enters the right atrium of the heart through the VENA CAVA; whereas, oxygenated blood (from the lungs) enters the left atrium of the heart through the PULMONARY VEIN.
I have the same question...I've been seeing a lot of people say the "abdominal aorta" but in my lab book, it seems to be the "dorsal aorta". Hope this helps :/
The Femorals. >>As a second opinion, I believe that it is the common iliac arteries. I agree that it is the common iliac arteries.
Ants do not have a heart. They have a dorsal aorta that functions like a heart.
The dorsal view of a common frog is what you would see when looking down on the frog from above. The dorsal view typically includes the frog's back, head, eyes, and toes.
it doesn't... there's no proof that it does :)
The aorta
Dorsal aorta carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the tissues, while the ventral aorta carries impure blood (rich in carbon dioxide) from the heart to the lungs.
To distribute blood from the heart to other organs of the fish body
The Aorta.
portal vein
look at the map, it is below ths small intestine and kidney.
You can tell cause dirt comes out the dorsal side. the dorsal side is darker because its the worms main blood vessel like our aorta
