There are a number of tourist attractions that can be viewed and parks that one could stroll through without charge in Washington, DC. One can view the White House and stroll through Anacostia Park.
Listen to the Republicans. As a Republican I can agree. At least they are not boring like the Democrats. If they are still in business, you could take a ride on DC Ducks. A guy bought two surplus Ducks (amphibious vehicles from World War 2), painted them yellow, and made them into tour buses When a DC Duck passes a regular tour bus, the tourists all quack like ducks. In a town as serious as DC, that might be fun.
