I've heard it takes ten days for the eggs to hatch.
* Growth and Development: The females lay eggs on ripe or rotting fruit. After one day the eggs hatch into larvae. Offspring remain in larval state for three days transform to pupae, and in three more days, become mature fruit flies. - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/sex/mating/gallery.html

Each female lays from 100 to 200 eggs in the garbage or manure on which the white larvae feed. With favorable temperatures, one generation or more per month may be produced.
If i remember correctly the gestation of the egg takes about 24 hours, then the larvae (maggots) eat for four days to store nutrients for metamorphosis (turning into the fly)

Then I think it takes four days for them to turn into the fly but after that a few hours is enough for the female to be ready to reproduce (if the maggot turned into a female one)

Female elephants social life revolves around breeding and raising of calves. A female will usually be sexually mature at around the age of thirteen.

After a gestation period of twenty-two-month, the mother gives birth to a calf that weighs about 115 kg and stands over 75 cm tall

The new born is usually the center of attention for the whole herd. The baby is born nearly blind and at first relies almost completely on its trunk to discover the world around it. The whole herd helps defend and raise the young one.
