Incubation is defined as

the process of sittine on eggs in order to keep them warm and bring them to hatching.

Incubation for bald eagles is 35 days, give or take.

The Bald Eagle is sexually mature between 4 and 5 years old. They will usually return to the region they were born to find a mate, build a nest and hatch their eggs. Almost all Bald Eagles will mate for life, only seeking another mate if there is a death of one. But there is one time that they might seek new mates. If they have repeatedly attempted to mate, and have not successfully hatched eggs, sometimes they will seek another mate. The nest they build is the largest of any bird in North America, and they will return, and reuse it every year. A pair of Bald Eagles usually will lay 1 to 3 eggs about 5 to10 days after mating. But all 3 hatchlings rarely live to take flight from the nest. Both parents will sit the nest, taking turns incubating the eggs for about 35 days, while the other hunts for either food or materials to work on the maintenance of the nest.
