It depends what kind of wolf you are talking about. Gray wolves (Canis Lupus) can live in the snow and often do. However, overall many wolves live in Canada, Alaska, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and New Mexico. To learn more about wolves, go to http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/wolf.html California and Arizona Normally in a colder forest area.
The habitat of a wolf is the woods.
Wolves are very diverse and their habitat is spread out over the world. Some species only live in forests while others can live in the cold Arctic region.

A wolf can live in many places such as a forest, swampy areas, deserts, artic areas and tundras, so it depends on which wolf you are talking about.

The Grey Wolf lives in many areas around the world, mostly cold tundras or forests.

Arctic wolves live in the Arctic Circle.

A red wolf can be found on the east coast of the U.S.

An Indian wolf is found in India

And the Mexican wolf (just a Grey wolf in the desert) is found in the Sonora Desert!

Of course, they're many more species of wolves but those hopefully covers it!

Historically:

Before humans took over, wolves roamed throughout most of North America and Europe, but now their population has rapidly decreased through poaching and they are in some Northern states (including Alaska), and Canada. Some are in Europe, though not even close the how large their numbers used to be, and they also have a medium sized population in Russia in the barren landscapes where people don't inhibit. So the weather can be very varied, sometimes snowy, and sometimes relatively warm

a wolfs' habitat is a tundra, grassland, woodlands and forests
Be more specific. Different types of wolves live in different habitats.
they are an outside dog
Mostly forest and tundra
It depends on what kind of wolf it is and where it lives. Gray wolves can be found in forests and plain areas like in Yellowstone National Park.
A wolf's environment depends on what type of wolf it is. A timber wolf would live in a forest in mountains, and a tundra/ Arctic wolf would live in the Arctic. ^.^
It is called a den
A wolf's home is called a den. If your asking about the area it depends what species of wolf. Grey and Timber wolves tend to live in forest along the boarder of Canada and near upper New England like New York. Where as Red wolves live in Mexico. If there's a certain species your looking for you might want to specify.

Well it actually depends where they live and what breed of wolf. For example a timber wolf would live in a forest so in summer the forest will be lush green in autumn it would be covered with leaves and scuttling creatures in winter there would be snow all around and snow and icicles on branches and caves so really depends where they were born and what breed they are
There are various kinds of habits for wolves. Ill try to explian them all.

Mountian : They did dens or find caves in which they live in. They may hunt mountain goats or birds taking a rest. In these rocky territory they have few trees.

Forest : They either dig burrows or move into a cave they found. There is very plentiful game and they try to make burrows in bushes.

River : They dig a burrow on the ridge of a river or stream. They have to stay close to the river though because of the pups couriosity.

City : Only rouge or lone wolves would ever come in here. They are aggressive.

Note from Winter: Wolves mainly wander they don't live in caves. The burrows they dig are only for the pups of the mating pair to take shelter in.
