Jazz dance was originated from the African American vernacular dance of the late 1800s in the mid 1900's it was first heard in the first world war. Jazz was referred to as sexual intercourse. A few saouthern blacks were carried from slavery they mixed the European music with Afro modifications. The birthplace of jazz had various origins. The New Orleans, the St. Louis, Memphis and the Kansas City were just a few. But the New Orleans are still remainders a main jazz center. Ethnic rainbow of people would walk through bars and brothels they were the most important factors in expansion of jazz. Middle of the 1950's was the expression "jazz dance" it was referred to tap dace because the tap dancing (set to Jazz Music) was the major performance dance of the era. Jazz today is resented in different shows and also in different forms. Jazz music originated solely in the United States. It is uniquely different type of music. Jazz music is a collision of American and African cultures. It involves centuries of cultural and racial conflicts which means the clash of more subdued dominant culture and the more powerful subculture. Jazz is composed primarily of four musical elements and they are melody, harmony, rhythm and tone color. melody, rhythm and tone color make up the primary elements of jazz. the styles of jazz are:
