Mostly, 3 generations are in the same house. Not that we can't afford another house but the seniority in Thailand is really big. We just don't trust the nursing home.
The way we do it is that the kids move out for college then after they can afford a better house, the parents move in. Not all of us do it this way. Many just move out and live separately. Younger people usually live in apartments in bigger city just like everybody else in this world.
The public health in Thailand is the only thing that develops fast, compares to other ministries. Still, there are a lot of poor people who can't afford to go to hospital when they get ill. Not that they can't pay for the medical fee 'cuz it's free but in some rural area, bringing the patients out of their house is almost the same thing as killing them directly.
