Carnival is one of the great attractions of the Northeast, mainly in the city of Salvador and Recife. The carnival in Salvador is the most popular party in the world and breaks records with more than 2,700,000 (two million seven hundred thousand) revelers in six-day festival. During the carnival in Salvador, dozens of Brazil's most famous singers in the parade as electric trios, Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury, Cláudia Leitte, Eliana and many others. In Salvador carnival revelers have several options to enjoy the festivities, such as: buy and exit abadás blocks, leaving the popcorn, buying or renting cabins in day cabins to spend the six days of revelry. In this type of cabin space is rented to sleep and play and can be individual or joint rates. The carnival of Recife despite not having as much as the national release of Salvador, is considered a very hectic carnival also has the largest carnival in the world.
In Joao Pessoa, curiously Carnival is celebrated a week before the conventional date, so that the pessoense not speak in an ash Wednesday, but on Wednesday night fire.
Horse Piancó
It is unique in the municipality of Amarante (PI). Blacks from the river Canindé, to ward off sleep on moonlit nights, usually dance imitating the trot of a horse lame. Bonfire of St. John
Saint John is without doubt the most common celebration in the region come from Caruaru and Campina Grande vie for the title of the largest St. John of the world in both cities the celebrations will last the entire month of June. Other cities such as Aracaju, Juazeiro do Norte, Natal, Teresina celebrations and Ducks have more modest (about a fortnight), vie for the title and the third largest party. Fires are one of the main attractions, the most popular are Little Star, the marcianito and fireworks. Besides Devario fires we dance, as the Quadrille and Forró.
