pronunciation should be taught so kids when they grow up know how to pronounce the words. well there are some words out there that people have big debates about how to pronounce the word. Such as interrogative (people pronounce it inter-rog-a-tive) or ( people pronounce it in-tear-oh-gay-tiv) so yes pronounciation should be taught :)
