the largest litter can be one up to seven, all of them will survived if the mother keeps care of them right (if the mother forgets the one puppy that one might die of being cold or heart problems, or blood problems because of it being cold) with a few other people help. that will uncreas the percent of them living of them up to 70% or 80% a runt never lives long it might die on the third day, or a few weeks later. the biggest one always lives. the rest however will have to have an eye in them making sure the mother wont forget one or two.

it depends on how much your dog weighs, if 4 to 6 lbs then no more than twice
