The largest organ of the body is liver . there is a major misconception that largest organ is skin or liver is largest organ inside body. but actually speaking , skin which is common or popular name for integumentry system is indeed an organ system, not merely an organ. as skin or integumentry system is composed of skin, hairs, nails, touch temperature pain and other receptors, sweat glands, wax glands, oil glands. skin is better suited as an organ system due to its vast projections and multiple functions.
