If you are ready to move out in Hawaii there are likely many questions going through your mind. One important thing to keep in mind is that you need to be at least 18 years old to move out without your parents permission.

There isn't a 'legal' age. It's pretty much whatever the parents want. That if, of course, if you are just watching kids for a family you know. However, if you want to get a job at a child care place, then it depends on the place itself

For your own sakes leaving any child that is a minor alone in your home for a week is asking for trouble. Even if your own child is good and fairly mature their friends will soon figure out it's 'party time!' Your child won't be able to stop it and neighbors will call the police. I've had several friends that made that mistake and came home to their house trashed beyond recognition. You may get lucky, but are you willing to take the risk?

Have someone else come into the house (relative, grandparents) or send your child off to a friend's house (with permission of their parents) and have the neighbors keep an eye on your home. Both of you will rest easier.
