I think it is either 13 or 14 I dont think the state has a law on babysitting age, that is up to the respective parents, but leaving a 8 year old with two 2 year olds would but a no no. Depending on the maturity of the sitter and the arrangements, like emergency numbers and available adults in the other nearby homes in case of an emergency, kids can start babysitting at about 13 or 14 years old and not 5 children either maybe 2 and not infants.
