Different countries in Europe have different ages at which it is legal to purchase alcohol. The ages vary between 16-18 (20 for very strong spirits in some countries like Finland and Norway). For example, 16 in Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Denmark. Also note that some drinks like spirits may be 18/20+ in some areas but beer and wine is 16. Another example, 18 in Britain, France, Ireland, Poland, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Ukraine. Iceland is 20+.

Varies from state to state and circumstances. Purchasing alcohol in the United Kingdom is age 18 (consuming alchohol in England and Wales with parents permission in a private place is aged 5) France has a purchasing age limit of 16, most other European states are 16.

The legal drinking age in the Netherlands is 18 years and above. Earlier drinking laws in Netherlands was 16 years which increased since the first of January 2014. Thank you.

The legal age to consume or buy alcoholic drinks is 18. It was raised from 16 to 18 in 2009. Under 18s may consume alcohol in a privat residence.

There is no age for legally drinking alcohol, but there is one for buying it: 16 years. It is however almost nowhere enforced.
