The State of Idaho is located in the northwestern region of the United States of America. Idaho is surrounded by British Columbia of Canada on its northern border, by Montana on its northeastern border, by Wyoming on its eastern border, by Nevada and Utah on its southern border and by Washington and Oregon on its western border.

Idaho is 491 kilometer long on the east-west direction and 771 kilometer long on the north-south direction. Several rivers flow across the State of Idaho. Some of the notable rivers of Idaho comprise Kootenai River, St. Joe River, Snake River, St. Maries River and Coeur d'Alene River.

Situated at a height of 12,662 feet, the Borah Peak is the highest point of the state. Snake River is the lowest point of Idaho which is placed at 710 feet. The Idaho State Map indicates the exact location of the important towns of the state. Boise, Arco, Cascade, McCall, Salmon and Mackay are some of the major towns of Idaho.
