Personally, I do not believe there has been enough time from its on-set for meaningful data to have been collected. That being said, it is at present an upcoming popular field. Many colleges and universities are now offering degrees in game creation and design. I believe it will be around for a good while, and there are and will continue to be related fields as out-growths from this type of design expertise.
