I think it is the Marine Force Recon.
Yes. The Marines created MarSOC in 2006. The 1st and 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalions (MSOB) were created from the Force Recon companies. The 3rd MSOB was created in 2009. They conduct foreign internal defense (training foreign military units), recon, and direct action operations, similar to the Army Special Forces.
depends the 101st and 82nd are not spec ops but almost aqll us spec ops are airborne quaLIFIED
Marines Special Forces normally deploy on board naval vessels in a group of three ships called an Amphibious Readiness Group, or ARG. A normal deployment is six months. They will deploy on the ship, conduct any mission required, and then return back to the United States on the same ship. However, during war time such as that which we are in now, they may deploy for up to a year.
Based on the fact that the movie came out in January 2006 and MARSOC wasn't officially stood up late February 2006, it was most likely meant to be Force Recon Marines that are portrayed in the movie.
The primary special operations force of the USMC is simply known as MARSOC, the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. Also known as Force Recon from their historic origins as an elite Marine unit that wasn't attached to the Special Forces, it is not as well known as the Army Rangers and Navy SEALs becuase it is a relatively new outfit, established in 2006. Unlike Force Recon, MARSOC was established as a full member of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) so as to coordinate an increased need for joint special operations and counter-terrorism.
yes and no. the United States Marine Corps are trained by the Navy, Army, Black Ops, Special Ops, and the Air Force. But the Marines also train all of them to. Alot of the people who you see in the army or especialy in the Black Ops are Ex-Marines.
Considering that the marines are always the first to respond, they may be considered better in recon then the navy in general. However, the navy SEAL's may be considered better than the marines in genreal since the SEAL's are special ops.
The Air Force has Special Operations, "Special Forces" is the term for Army Green Berets. The Air Force special ops consist of:PararescueCombat ControllersSpecial Ops Weather TeamOr in BritainRoyal Marines and RAF Regiment are the second closest to a Special Operations.the Royal Air Force have:RAF RegimentRAF Parachute Team. However Britain does have a Air Special Ops branch which is obviously the SAS (Special Air Service)

The Marines are Marines. The Army has Army Special Forces AKA Green Berets.

Deploying standard (conventional) US Army Infantry battalions, Artillery battalions, Armor (tank) battalions, Cavalry Squadrons, etc., instead of Special Ops men. 3. Bombing strategic targets (in North Vietnam) with heavy, medium, and light bombers; instead of parachuting (insertion teams) Special Ops commandos.

SOCOM is the Army's special operations command. JSOC is the Joint Special Operations Command and encompasses all of the special ops units in the United States military, including those from Air Force, Navy, and Marines. Both commands are located at Ft. Bragg, NC.
No; not unless they volunteer for special operations.
