There are two answers for this question. The first deals with composite signals and the second deals with cable. So...
Answer one.
Composite signals carry color video as a single signal. The resolution is limited to 480 lines or 576 lines because they are the two standard definition line counts. The signals are below 6MHz and are analog. There is no composite signal that carries HD signals.
Answer two
The cable that carries composite signals is generally fairly poor quality but is sufficient for short links between a DVD and a television for example. Longer runs need a co-ax cable designed to run video signals. The cable is identified as a 75 Ohm cable, that being a characteristic of the cable required for standard video transmission.
Although there are many different grades of co-ax cable, a reasonable quality cable is capable of running any composite signal and will also run digital video in standard and high definition as well. Most video signals use the same type of cable so strictly speaking, there is no such cable as "composite".
576i i think, i did use my tv box for ps3, ps3 chose 576i with RCA cable from av out
Monoprice has the best price on composite video cables.
Composite cables are used to connect the audio and video components from a electronic appliance to a television or monitor. A DVD player or video game console, for example, requires the proper connectivity of these cables.
In a set of cables with red, black (or white) and yellow cables, the yellow cable is a composite video cable.
Yes, the Wii U can be used with both composite and S-video cables. The system is compatible with both the Wii composite cable and the standard video cable that shipped with the original Wii in 2006.
Composite RCA will be better than a coaxial cable (RG6). The order of quality and maximum resolution from best to worst is: HDMI (including HDMI 1.4 3D) DVI Component Video S-Video Composite Coaxial cable
Most electronics stores can supply composite video cables. Amazon, Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, and Best Buy all carry this particular item in their stores.

A composite cable is one that has three video (Red, Green, Blue) cables and 2 audio (Red, White) cables.
Component video is carried on three wires, normally referred to as YUV or Y, Pb, Pr. The Y component carries the luminance information - the brightness. The other two carry color information. Connecting a component signal to a composite input will be difficult as composite uses a single connector that carries brightness and color signals on the same wire. If you connect the Y of the component signal to the composite input, you will see a monochrome image. With a very, very few exceptions, analog component video is limited to standard resolution, so the highest will be 480 line (North American) or 576 line (European). Composite connections handle only standard definition and there is no composite standard for HD video.
