Pentecost marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the twelve apostles and other followers of Jesus. When they were gathered at Pentecost, there were many different languages being spoken there, but through a miracle, at once all understood all the others in his own language.

Pentecost is sometimes described as the "Birthday of the Church."

According to Christian tradition, Pentecost is always seven weeks after Easter Sunday; that is to say, 50 days after Easter. In other words, it falls on the eighth Sunday, counting Easter Day.

It is the fiftieth day after the resurrection of Jesus when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles to signify the birth of the Christian Church.

Catholic AnswerThe meaning is that the fullness of revelation has come, God, in the person of the Holy Spirit has come down upon the Church which He will now guide through this, the last age, until the end of the world. Through His coming upon the Apostles, He fully established the Catholic Church and reveals It to the world. He continues to guide It and guaranteed It through the ages.

.

from The Catechism of the Catholic Church, second edition, English translation 1994

731 On the day of Pentecost when the seven weeks of Easter had come to an end, Christ's Passover is fulfilled in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, manifested, given, and communicated as a divine person: of his fullness, Christ, the Lord, pours out the Spirit in abundance. (Cf. Acts 2:33-36)

732

On that day, the Holy Trinity is fully revealed. Since that day, the Kingdom announced by Christ has been open to those who believe in him: in the humility of the flesh and in faith, they already share in the communion of the Holy Trinity. By his coming, which never ceases, the Holy Spirit causes the world to enter into the "last days," the time of the Church, the Kingdom already inherited though not yet consummated.

We have seen the true Light, we have received the heavenly Spirit, we have found the true faith: we adore the indivisible Trinity, who has saved us. (Byzantine liturgy, Pentecost, Vespers, Troparion, repeated after communion.)

well pentecostal is basically having the Holy Ghost and living holy lives, a list of things that girls do to please God is: wearing skirts down to your knees. Not cutting your hair, not even a trim because in The Bible it says if you cut your hair at all you might as well shave your whole head, no makeup, jewellery Wearing modest tops like always with sleeves (short, long sleeves etc.) having your shirt always at most three fingers down your chest... for men: Not wearing shorts, pants that "gird up the loin". keeping their hair short etc... but if you don't have these things it doesn't mean your going to hell, but you DO need the Holy Ghost to get to heaven NO exceptions, hope i could help (:
