it deals with logic 1 and logic o where logic 1 is represented by a voltage and the other is also represented by a voltage
There are both digital and analog electronic devices. Digital devices use a binary input - that is, the electrical signals they use to perform functions are in one of two states - a predetermined high or low voltage threshold (sometimes referred to as "on" or "off, 1 or 0 or True or False).

Compare that to analog devices which receive electrical input that use either a constant, direct current, such as that supplied by a battery without any conversion process, or from an alternating current, such as that supplied by your home outlet. The alternating current rises and falls gradually through a series of different states (voltages), rather than the abrupt on/off states that digital equipment requires.

In reality, many electronic devices use a combination of both analog and digital input to accomplish a variety of tasks. For instance, your computer's fan may use an analog signal, while it's processor relies on digital signals to produce output.

In the field of television, digital refers to the representation of values in a numeric form instead of a continuously variable voltage level. A digital signal has a number of discrete possible values within a certain range.

Common ranges for video are from 0 to 1023 or from 0 to 255. These are the ranges possible when using 10 bit or 8 bit binary numbering schemes.

Any system is said to be using digital technology if it uses parts which contain or make use of binary or digital logic. This can be in hardware or software. Basic binary logic has only two states 1 or 0, ON or OFF. A combination of logic cells can make simple to highly complex circuits or integrated circuits. Most systems making use of digital technology these days have a micro controller or a processor, some form of storage and a program running in it for decision making or processing.

Digital refers to any type of processing that must be made by a computer processor instead of by mechanical means. For example, a digital camera is a camera that processes images by way of a processor within the camera that captures light and enhances the image based on pixel quality.

A digital computer contains at least one processing unit and one memory unit. The values (1's and 0's or TRUE/FALSE in Boolean Math or Yes/No in Object-Oriented Design) are represented as high or low voltages flowing through switching circuits. The values 1 and 0 are represented symbolically and are far more accurate than analog computers, which use mechanical, hydraulic and sometimes electrical forms to represent input, computation and output. For a very long time, analog was the preffered method for computing due to speed at the expense of accuracy. Since the digital revolution, these computers are so fast AND so accurate as to render analog computing mostly obsolete.
