What is narrowing of Neural Foramina?

Narrowing of the neural foramina is the constriction of the nerve passageways, or foramina, in the spine. This results in compression of the nerve.

What does neural foramina appear patent?

When neural foramina appear patent, it means that they are open and not blocked or narrowed. This allows for proper passage of nerves and blood vessels through the spaces in the spine, preventing compression and preserving function. It is important for maintaining nerve health and preventing symptoms such as pain and weakness.

What is the meaning of widely patent neural foramina?

"Foramina" is the plural form of "foramen", and a foramen is just a hole. The brain normally has several of these holes, or foramina in it, including the foramen of Magendie, foramina of Luschka, and foramina of Monroe. Which one are you talking about?

Is neuro foramina one word or two?

I believe you actually mean "neural foramina". That is two words. It is also known as intervertebral foramina.

Can neural foramina impingment at C5-6 cause pain?

Wat.

C7-t1 What is patent central canal and neural foramen?

It means the canal and foramina are normal in size and allows for nerves to pass through freely without restriction.

What is Central canal and neural foramina are grossly patent throughout?

This means that the openings in the canal and foramina are normal in size, thus there is no restrictions that would cause any nerve problems.

With marked narrowing of the neural foramina?

The Neural Foramen are grooves in the vertebra, just behind the vertebral body that the nerves that branch off the spinal cord exit the spinal canal from. If they are grossly patent they are open, and free from obstruction, so there is no compression of the nerves that course through these channels.

What is osteophytic encroachment of the neural central joints at C56?

Osteophytic encroachment of the neural central joints at C5-6 is when degeneration of a disc causes obstruction. This obstruction occurs at the foramina at C4-5.

Through what part of a vertebra does the spinal cord pass?

The central canal of the spinal cord. The central canal, also known as ependymal canal, is the cerebrospinal fluid-filled space that runs longitudinally through the length of the entire spinal cord.
