Their name is based on the philosophy of, "what goes around comes around." M. Shadows got it from the biblical story of God's wrath upon Cain for killing his brother Abel.
Quote: "Therefore whoever slayeth, Cain vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold."b
From a7xam28 it also says "then Cain shall be Avenged Sevenfold"
Avenged Sevenfold is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999.
As of 2010, the band consists of vocalist Matthew Charles Sanders (better known by his stage name, M. Shadows), lead guitarist Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. (better known by his stage name, Synyster Gates), rhythm guitarist Zachary James Baker (better known as his stage name, Zacky Vengeance) and bassist Jonathan Lewis Seward (better known by his stage name, Johnny Christ).
Their drummer was James Owen Sullivan (better known by his stage name, The Reverend Tholomew Plague, or just The Rev.) until he died in 2009 of a polydrug intoxication and alcohol.
Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater drummed in place of the Rev. for the band's latest album Nightmare.
In January of 2011, Avenged Sevenfold announced their new drummer to be Arin Ilejay, former drummer of the band Confide. He is their permanent drummer as of 2012.
The band has released five albums to date:
There have been rumors of Aveneged Sevenfold releasing a sixth album, but the release date has not been confirmed as of October 2012.
It is a biblical reference. It means avenged seven times.
Meaning, the Fold as a multiplication sign to form The two lines crossing each other
So that's why its Avenged SevenFOLD (X).
It refers to Cain and Abel when Cain killed Abel for jealousy.
An "avenged sevenfold" is a sevenfold vengeance. I'm not sure what a "sevenfold" is, but it's in The Bible. Chapter 4 of the book of Genesis to be exact (that's where they got the idea for the song "Chapter Four")

They picked the name by going through the bible and finding things that sounded cool. That's pretty much it.

Avenged sevenfold literally means to get vengeance seven times over. It originated in the Bible to describe when Cain killed Abel. Cain would feel God's vengeance.

If you mean M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold, no
It is about the Apocalypse. It's all about what the end of the world is like. That's what the Rapture is. And it is the end of it.
It's got to be between: Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country and Almost Easy, just depends what you mean by the fastest.
Maybe you're referring to Avenged Sevenfold (great band, by the way) whose name comes from a bible verse, Genesis 4:15. But the Lord said to him, "Not so. Anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold." So, like seven times greater vengeance than for another sin? Just my personal interpretation.
They are mean on interviews because Avenged Sevenfold get interviews and M. Shadows prints them out for the band to answer and they laugh at all the questions, thinking they are pointless. So Avenged Sevenfold writes nonsense down for their answers, and Syn and the Rev don't give serious answers. M. Shadows edits their answers, and has stated that if he printed 99.9% of them all, people would get offended. When the Rev and Synyster Gates do live interviews, they appear to be mean because they think the questions are pointless.
it means "save me

Huh? What do you mean? Unless of course if you mean they're hot then I guess I don't need to answer that because they just are.
I am assuming you mean the album by Avenged Sevenfold. That album was released in August of 2003 and is their second full-length album.
